Being by a Maine lake
on a breezy August day is beautiful, yes.
But the movement of rippling water,
dancing leaves & clouds shifting
also fills the body & soul with great energy.
Being by a Maine lake
on a cloudy August day
makes you want to run & shout & swim & twirl,
the way you did when you were a child.
How very fortunate and rich you are to feel like that!
ReplyDeleteLove the watercolors..and that paper..s..so much texture Rita...
Have I told you I love Maine?
Yes, you've captured the feeling very well! This is how I feel too; being near the water revives my spirit.
ReplyDeleteNie znam tego jeziora oczywiście, ale namalowany obrazek zachęca do takich emocji, jak piszesz. Pozdrawiam serdecznie.
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling . And sometimes, I'd like to DARE to run and shout and twirl ...
ReplyDeleteSee, not just me. Strong 'breeze' was the operable word for yesterday. Like your work. Partial to miniatures too.
ReplyDeleteOkay, there you go: By a Maine Lake = your picture book title . . xx
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sharon. That is the perfect title for a book.
ReplyDeleteYes it does!
