Trips to Portland always include
early morning cafe sketching
and writing notes in the Old Port.

Costumed characters.
Great theater for the price of
a non-fat vente latté.
The notes are as important to me
as the sketching.

It is also my Figure Drawing class.
While so many others are on their devices,
I am on my sketchbook.
Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAwesome sketches. I think you are putting your time to better work with the sketchbook versus the devices :) Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteHello Rita
ReplyDeleteAlways love to see your cafe people sketches , So many people on their phones.
Rita -- love to hang out in the coffee house culture. What did we do before coffee houses? When I was a young woman I tried my hand at sketching in small out-of-the-way foodie places -- don't know why I stopped? Now the camera is my way of catching the world. How did you get started in the art world? Have you written a blog previously describing your first encounters in the art world? Your coffee house sketches are marvelous. I could place your sketched figures into Oregon as their dress styles are reflective of this region. -- barbara
