I've been creating postcards, folios & little booklets
to give as gifts.
I also enjoyed receiving a few gifts this season
like this fine pottery vessel made by Maine potter,
Mark Bell.
The blues are so dreamy.
They inspired some watercolor painting...
These are now elements ready to glue into
another folio/envelope/pocket accordion booklet.
Stand by for the finished product...
I'm feeling renewed & hopeful in this new year
while also weary of the virus restrictions.
I know that restoration & healing will take time.
In the meantime: There is Art.
I hope that you out there, Dear Visitors, are
safe, content & hopeful too.
OOOOO love that blue bowl!! Can see why it inspired you and looking forward to seeing what you created with that pretty blue palette!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE blue. Yes, I am hopeful for a new year and lots more art!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely bowl.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your projects are fun to make. The blues are beautiful.
Beautiful bowl in such a rich blue
ReplyDeleteStay safe & creative
Rita blue is the most peaceful color and so is your post. I think you are making the most of this quiet time. Keep safe dear friend. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful gift - and love the blue! Will you post some of your folios -- would love to see them ... All okay here ... just tired and scared of all the craziness .... Stay well!
ReplyDeleteHello and thank you for remembering me. Somehow I can't pull myself together and deal with the loneliness that is now doubled by the virus. Moreover, things are not going well in my country. Instead of going forward, we go back in several ways. Our "leader" is heading for the dictatorship :(. Good 2021, and I hope to come back to the blog. Pozdrawiam serdecznie.
ReplyDeleteI feel so honored to receive "little books" from you! (and some other delightful goodies -- thank you!) Your gorgeous pottery bowl is indeed dreamy but so, too, are your own blues -- an inspiring color! I cannot wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to "get on the art stick" soon here and get back to painting, which I miss, and making some wee things to share with you! First the Christmas needs to come down! I have been at sea, of late. Trying to get any motivation to do anything. I know part of it is not feeling my best, part is overload of "things to do" around the house and much is general malaise and frustration, made worse by anxiety for the next few weeks and Covid. I need to get lost in the painting again.
And books, and cuddly animals. Even with virus restrictions, I feel lucky to have so many simple pleasures available to me. Love the blue!
