Upcountry Fairs

In "big city" Portland,
my predominant means of viewing art work
was in privately owned galleries.
Here, I prefer outdoor Fairs & Farmers' Markets,
where local artists & artisans
set up their booths alongside
harbors, rivers, or in town squares.
Part of the fun is strolling outdoors,
chatting with vendors & other folks.
Great places for sketchbook journaling!

Above, a summer Art Fair in Bucksport,
along the Penobscot River.

  3. I love your work. I am a beginning painter. Do you mind if I attempt your Halloween card and post on my own IG site. I would credit you. It's great inspiration for me.

    1. Karen, I'm glad you enjoy my work. I want to encourage you to get out there and find your own subjects. In the end, you will find an aulthentic spirit there that won't be there if you copy mine. If you want to do a copy not for posting just for learning, that is another thing...I also would encourage you to take a class. There is so much to be learned from a teacher and also the other students. And there are so many videos on YouTube these days that demonstrate painting, drawing, and all sorts of art.
