Sketchbook Candy

I'm continuing to use existing materials, including small drawings
and designs that had been sitting in various boxes.
(They are happy to be out in the world.)
And my Mom's buttons. They seem like candy.

Coptic stitch does get easier & better with practice.
I'm using a non-adhesive book cover technique.
Glue and I are not BFF's (slurp, smudge).
Some watercolor play sheets turned book covers...
It's all feeling quite yummy...

  1. Hello Rita! Thank you for popping over to my blog. I have just looked at a view of your posts and very much like what I see.
My grandma had an old cookie tin full of buttons which my sister and I loved to play with. Some of the buttons were like jewellery, so pretty! Your hand-made books are wonderful.

Many thanks for your visits to Marmelade Gypsy. I would reply personally but you are a no-reply blogger, so forgive me for leaving my thanks right here on your own blog.

  5. Dear Rita - I enjoyed seeing your wonderful way of using existing materials to create. Love the covers of your sketchbook with watercolors. I don't know if I mentioned - I too have a tin full of my grandma's old buttons. I just adore old buttons. Well take care and have a great day creating. Thanks for sharing. Hugs!
