This is an older landscape that I took to the shop on Main Street
to replace one that sold yesterday.
Now I REALLY have to get back to the landscapes.
In the meantime, I'm still sketchbook wandering.
Very scribbly, I must say...
Every Thursday in summer they close one of the Main streets for concerts.
Last night it was an excellent local big band.
Young families & children were dancing in the street to the music of their parents' & grandparents' era.
I love these events that bring out the community, & perhaps
tourists & summer visitors too.
I added a little detail at home, but it's still scribbly...
I love those street parties. What great energy!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the buyer of your art!

An entertaining evening recorded.
ReplyDeleteI love these! And how lovely to have concerts like that. We have them here, too, but it's just.too.hot. right now to enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteLove what you capture, whether landscapes or street/people/cafe scenes. They all feel fresh and 'in the moment.' xx
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your sale! I think your urban sketches are just a good, I have to say. Sounds like a nice way to sit and enjoy a summer concert.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of the sold landscape, so bright anf full of life:)
ReplyDeleteThis makes me want to get out and enjoy one of the outdoor concerts around here. Lovely scribbly sketches!
ReplyDeleteDear Rita, I love big band music. When I lived in Toronto I used to listen to the Big Band show on Jazz FM 91.1 on Sunday afternoons. The link http://tunein.com/radio/Big-Band-Show-p2295/. I don't listen to it now, because with the time difference between Toronto and Warsaw it comes on at 11:00 pm. Too bad they don't have podcasts.
ReplyDeletePozdrawiam serdecznie. Mam nadzieję, że lato miło Ci upływa.
