My Grocery Store Map

Life has changed quickly.
I am staying home with 2 exceptions:
Outdoor exercise and food shopping
For me, the grocery store poses a double hazard:
I am allergic to chemical sanitizers.
I need to be out of there FAST.
Enter my aid: A Shopping MAP. It works well.
Do you have any new adaptations/aids during this time?
Be healthy and safe, friends...

  1. Rita it seems like there are so many challenges raising their heads during this storm of life...allergic to the very thing everyone is using has to be so hard. We are in Ohio with stay at home orders except for essential work (which I do- but we are rotating to keep us more safe). Hubby had heart issues for the first time this past Fri...had to take him to emergency room and leave him there - I could not be with him - no visitors in the hospital with the exception for one support person with maternity...it was very hard but he is home and they took wonderful care of him. God was good and saved his life. So I am grateful beyond words that I still have my beloved. Love your map...when this scourge ends we may lots more tricks up our sleeves than we had before :)!! Take care friend and stay safe. Hugs

  2. Great job!! We too rarely move from the RV Park save for groceries ... but we are using the 'shop on line' feature -- then dash out to pick up the groceries, bring them home, wipe them down... store. But since the shelves have been empty for so long, we often have to make a dash to go in and see what alternatives might present themselves. We try to do this first thing in the morning - senior hour -- when the stores have just opened and sanitized and before too many people have visited. Good luck my friend! Stay well!

  3. Cutest map.
The change here? Our son-in-law is getting our groceries. We are lucky he lives kitty corner across the street..But drops off..no contact..and now that I have seen Jeanie's video..I'll be even more careful today. He's going to Costco..so we will be good for staples for a while.
Take care..my thoughts are everywhere these days..so many..everyone to think of and wish well for.
    Imagine the health care workers..

  4. My adoption is to stay home. And when Rick brings groceries, wash and sanitize things like crazy. This is a bad time to be allergic to chemical sanitizers, isn't it? I have reactions to strong smells but so far those are OK. Yes, you are wise to get out fast! My doc said after hospitals, grocery stores are the most dangerous places to be right now. So you take care. I love your map, love it to pieces!

  6. Hope you're still healthy and safe, Rita! I'm down to the same types of outings, and trying to go two weeks between shopping trips. I wore a mask when I went shopping on Monday. Still not TP or paper towels in my grocery store, but we are OK without those right now. I always group items on my shopping list according to where they are in the store, and always shop in a particular order, so that speeds it up a little, or did when I didn't have to think so much about what we might run out of in the next two weeks...
